can u imagine this happening in INDIA?? unfortunately we consider anything connected to Hinduism as communal...I think Hindus had much more freedom under Islam and Christian rulers than the present day Hindus themselves.
"In addition, the New Jersey General Assembly passed a resolution "to acknowledge that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has been furthering the best of human instincts, traits and characteristics...; for promoting sustainable growth in poor rural communities...; for Art of Living which assists at-risk youth in turning away from gang violence, drugs and alcohol toward a life of greater generosity and service...".

It needs to spread as a religion...as a religion Hinduism spread far and wide in medieval times throughout South East Asia as far as Bali. Hinduism should not only be a way of living but has core beliefs, pilgrimages, marriage & life rituals etc. It is a major religion and spreads without missionary activity. The beauty of Hinduism should be shared by all through propagation.
