It was great and was very proud that yoga that we inherited from our ancestor is making such big difference world over. One of my friend from Israel, is the lead instructor of Manhattan yoga club. He says that any human being should be forever thankful to India which came up with such great thing as Yoga. As mentioned by many other message posters below Yoga has great following with dedicated yoga practitioner all over the world.

Well in India we are lucky that Govt. with our italian boss has not declared yoga with hinduism and thus communal. As someone mentioned below we had more respect as hindus under Akbar, Shahjehan, British then by our present day leader.

Maybe you should go back to living as slaves under the moghuls and british. There is a train to Lahore everyday which you can take or for that matter there are janitor jobs a plenty at Heathrow waiting for you. '
Stupid people just know how to whine ... not knowing that government patronage is the best way to destroy something. Its best government stays one mile away from anything religious. Sri Sri Ravishankar got fame in India before he went abroad because of the freedom he has here. So also other sundry babas - real as well as fake.

He is right when he says...more harm has been done to the Hindu ethos in independent India by Congress and the Communists than under the British.

Like ???? abolishing caste system , untouchability , reservations for backwards, abolishing zamindari system, women's rights, equal voting for all. I know Congress has not been good for the upper caste and existing elite - so that is why guys like you are really , really unhappy.

Like making India an Islamic country - where there is more shariah than in Pakistan or Bangladesh where some amendments have been allowed. Like allowing the division of India yet not defining what India should be and not preventing Pakistan to go Islamic, kick out all Hindus from there. For relegating Hinduism into a non religion whereas allowing Hindus to be kicked out from Kashmir. India today has become a non assertive nation.
