WE WANT ANSWER
by rocker on Jul 06, 2008 01:35 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

we want:

1.to give full detail of deal

2.to tell the cost which will be ultimately passed on consumers as cess.

3.what would be the tariff structure. this will result in absurd increase of power tariffs

4. how much power will be produced.

5. details of uranium reserves in the country..
there was an investigative report in HT that uranium reserves in india are enough to last 50 years and govt. is hiding this fact to buy expensive uranium from other countries and exchange money in between .

6.why can't untapped hydro, solar and wind sources of energy be used which will be less costly than uranium

anti common man cong should answer this.the idiot fake economists destructive trio of mm singh,p.chidambaram, and ms ahluwalia should answer this.shameless anti common man people

MY opinion is that there should be R&D regarding solar energy to reduce cost and increase efficiency as it has tremendous potential in a country like india.

Rocker, is thatit -"MY opinion is that thereshould be R&D regarding solar energy to reduce cost and increase efficiency as it has tremendous potential in a country like india."

For this you want the deal scrapped??

The nuclear deal is geared to serve our short term needs. We have already invested large amount in reactors using uranium, which because of lack of uranium and spare parts, are running 50% of capacity.

Our medium-long term strategy focus on fast breeders which use thorium which are outside the deal. These will come on-stream in 10-15 years. Till then we need to increase capacity utilization of our old generation reactors, which we have placed under safeguards.

This is the best deal we can get. We keep our militray and fast breeders and all future reactors out of the deal.

LOL ... the best in the world are busy doing that reasearch ... on improving efficiency and bringing cost of solar panels down ... India doesn't have to start from the bottom in this research .... when there is a breakthough, we can all benefit.
