India has enough natural uranium, but the Atomic Energy Commission is not interested to develop these. They claim to have knowledge to turn natural uranium into fuel, but in reality they prefer to import. All these arguments are based on the theory that only uranium based plants are needed, although FBR does not need uranium after the first cycle and Thoriam-uranianiam mixed fuel plant if under development. No one should believe these government scientist. Most of then are just as educated as Kalam is ( Diploma Engineer). All their life they have cultured the art of pleasing their political bosses; that is the only reason they got promotions. They have no knowledge.

Communist and Other parties do not want ManMohan singh to get the credit of this deal. If we sign this deal for sure the benificiaries will also include the hypocrats who oppose them. see in WB what progress have the communist done. People who elect such people have also become nonprogessive.these people will be the first to raise their hand when it comes to their selfish gains. This deal will be the another revolution like Mr. M Singh did in 1991.
These communist do not have any ideas they are PESTs have to be ignored. and people who support them knowingly are the biggest traitors of this country.

No one like left or any communist parties, but at the same time no one will oppose importing technical know how directly from developed countries along with Uranium. Our politicians are timid & foolish in their actions. One can not deny that.

India has abundant resources of Uranium, & there is lack of will to tap them. Govt.Scientist are the stooges who can't be trusted. Even China & Russia getting Uranium from Aus without any deal, then why go to US? & heed to their demands.

Mr.Bose If you know something very sure Pl. write otherwise pl. do not write simply write something for the sake of writing. Do you have any proof the Mr.Kalaam is a Diploma Engineer. Don't think that you are the only intelligent person in this world... Sometimes others do have knowledge mind it

I HOPE THIS IS ENOUGH TO EDUCATE IGNORANT PEOPLE ABOUT DR. ABDUL KALAM......"Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is the undisputed father of India's missile program. He has breathed life into ballistic missiles like the Agni and Prithvi, which put China and Pakistan well under India's missile range. It is too exhausting to track Dr Abdul Kalam's achievements to date. In the '60s and '70s he was a trail blazer in the space department. In the '80s he transformed the moribund Defense Research and Development Laboratory in Hyderabad into a highly motivated team. By the '90s Kalam emerged as the czar of Indian science and technology and was awarded the Bharat Ratna. His life and mission is a vindication of what a determined person can achieve against extraordinary odds. Even at 71, he is indefatigable and dreams of making India into a technological superpower. More importantly, he is still capable of acting on it. Born on 15th October 1931 at Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu, Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam studied at Schwartz High School in Ramanathapuram. After graduating in science from St. Joseph's College in Tiruchi, he did his DMIT in Aeronautical Engineering at the MIT, Madras, during 1954-57".....REGARDS!

Tamil Nadu has no MIT; that is called Madras Polytechnic now Madras Institute of Technology. Kalam got only a Diploma in Mechanical Engineeing; that was all. He has worked as administrator in DRDO, not as a scientist. India's missiles all came from the Soviet Union since 1987 and then from Russia. That is also true about Rockets. ( Narasimha Rao said that in the Parliament) . India's nuclear power plants, Heavy Water plant, reprocessing plant, enrichment plants all came from the Soviet Union and Russia since 1968 ( when USA has started the NPT, long before it has imposed sanctions against India in 1974). Russia also developing Thorium-Uranium mixed fuel plant and Fast Breeder Reactors in India. India has developed nothing at all. DRDO could not develop even a tank or aircraft. It has wasted Rs.7500 Crores for people like Kalam.

Mr. Bose I believe you are nuclear scientist. Please use your knowledge and invent an reactor based on your natural uranium or thorium. Our scientists have failed to invent such reactor. We want you to Show the path and lead us to become independent on nuclear energy BUT NO LIP SERVICE PLEASE.

Mr.Jitendra Kumar, a thorium based power plant is already in opeation at Kalpakkam (world's only one). If you do not know the facts, pl don't ridicule others. As per Kakkokar's own admission we have enough resources for setting up 10000 MWe Nuclear Power plants but the present installed capacity is onl 2740 MWe (all the plants of NPCIL put together).
We are now in the second stage of nuclear power production (Pressurized heavy water). The US has a vested interest in preventing us achieving the next stage (Thorium based plants).
The present deal with US will only help the equipment manufacturers from US as we do not even manufacture STand-by Diesel Generating Sets meant for Nuclear Power Plant (Conforming to IEEE-382 Spec). So every thing is not hunky dory as far as the Nuclear deal is concerned.

Will you import that too? You people talk of importing tech. do that, who is stopping but why through US? Any bloody answer please with due respect to all boarders. Regards!
