Patriotism is a word which means love towards the country not towards a specific religion. VHP has not done a single activity in its entire history to be stated as it was for the benefit of the country. They just survive on comunal interest. Infact their Ideology is exactly the same as other religion fundamentalist i.e. force their own religious idealogies on others. So no difference in ideology between between SIMI and VHP. Infact their long distant vision includes Akhanda Bharat which means India, Pak, Bangla, Bhutan, SriLanka and Nepal.

Taking your definition of patriotism what proportion of India Muslims themselves as Indians first and then Muslims? very small I am sure. Otherwise we would not have the opportunist Indian politicians jumping on the anti-nuke deal bandwagon claiming the deal was anti-Muslim. Hoe can something that is in the interest of the nation be opposed by patriots. Of course if it is not in the interest of the country then it is not just anti-Muslim, Anti-Hindu, Anti-all Indians etc. Please don't say that the opportunistic politicians are making false claims. Opportunistic politicians are exactly that, opportunists. They are clever people and they can see an opportunity where it does really exist. And they are sure that if they talk about the risks to Muslim/Islamic interests against the national interest they will indeed improve their standing amongst the India Muslims.

Indian Muslims OR Hindus have no interest in Sri Lanka. Srilankan Tamils should quit their bombing campaign and live in peace- what exactly is your problem?
