Desparation
by Srinivas vishnu on Jul 04, 2008 05:48 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

The desparation of the US to hook the Indian nuclear power, after the recent nuclear test had caused it to come in terms and give more bonuses to the present Congress Govt compared to the BJP govt previously.
If we hold up some more time without showing desparation, the US might have come down more, but our leaders foolishness had exposed the country to this pathetic situation.
China would never have conceded to such a deal, and knowing that, US had extended itself to allowing china to have its say, and also extending itself in others such as technology and MFN (most favoured nation) status in trade.
History shows that whereever America is allowed to have its way - that nation is converted into deserts - be it Somalia, combodia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Russia or pakistan. But countries which successfully resisted US had prospered - South and North korea, China, USSR, etc.

This is the funniest post I have read in this messageboard. Since when did North Korea (& USSR) prosper ??! And when did South Korea resist the US? It is because of ignorants like you that India is in this pathetic state.

China was not given as many concessions as India in the N-Deal. That is why it is cribbing. Plus the (now failed) move to form a Quadrilateral Axis (India, Japan, Australia, United States) really pissed them off and was assumed to be anti-China. The Axis attempt is in tatters now. Put everything together and you will understand.

do you have any proof to back your assertion that " China was not given as many concessions as India in the N-Deal"

Why are you even bothered about China? China is NOT involved in the deal in any way, apart from being very very unhappy with India's progress.
