Today it took 2 hours to cover 2 km just before the Airport Junciton. A saturday, when normally the traffic is free flowing. Anyone has any suggestions on what we citizens can get together and do about this? Can we demand information from the MMRDA? Can they be forced to commit to a timeline or at least be forced to keep the roads at these important junctions in a good condition? Why is it that when politicians are visiting the traffic suddely becomes perfect. If it can be done for them can it not be done for us citizens too, who are paying for it?

the only solution to this problem is banning truck or heavy vehicle entry within the city limits during day time...like its in delhi

Today I noticed trucks were being stopped in Malad, although for what reason I donot know. But I don't think that will solve the problem of 7 lanes converging into 2. Only ensuring smooth passage at the airport junction can help avoid the huge mess. And surprisingly, the wekk after 'Ho'ble Soniaji' graced us with her presence, twice we actually even flew past the signal without stopping. Thats whats most agitating. Its like we the 'aam aadmi' are totally inconsequential.
