Yes. The value of education has been thrown in to the wind since most of the educational institutions are owned by politicians and their kith and kins. Government run schools, colleges and other institutions including hospitals are worst than cattle shed. Hence people fear to send their wards to even schools though it is offered free, for the staff indulge in other immoral activities with the students thereby spoiling their attitudes and their life.
This is what Ambedkar has written in the constitutions for the betterment of indians. It will not be surprising if institutions are opened by underworld dons in coming years (may be few already exists.
Jai Hind.

Govt and Govt aided schools recruit teachers who are not meritorious. I am from one such govt aided school from Trichy, TN. I know what happens during those class hours when teachers with no dedication teach. My tamil teacher used to be a mealy mouthed guy, often spreading hatred about any non tamil language. His view was that if every language in TN other than Tamil is banned, tamil will grow. I wonder of tamil is a coconut tree :-) The maths teacher who himself proudly says that he is into school using quota, insists students to have private tuition. While other teachers also do the same, he simply never taught any lesson complete. I understood that the education system ( especially in TN ) had inducted severe bad blood ( Teachers through quota and without dedication and teachers to earn money alone ). How would any one expect any sane parent to opt any govt / govt aided school? It is vindicated why private schools flourish.
