A highly pretentious ethnic group that lives on the laurels of great personalities like Vivekananda, Tagore, Bankim, Rammohun Roy, Netaji etc, the present crop of Bengalis, a product of Communism with no cultural, religious, heritage or even territorial allegiance to either Bengal or India - Bengal today is a sorry spineless nation of cowards. This commie government finds it ok to denigrate Hinduism whenever the opportunity arises - watch Bengali langauge TV and all these guys do is target Hinduism in the pretext of atheism and 'opium of the people'- yet the same 'intellectuals' promote growth of madrassas and Islamism. These guys are such cowards, they actually highlight Islamic oppression on Hindus over the ages by pointing out chinks in Hindu society. Shame on these spineless cowards of Bengali communists !

Separation of Orissa From Bengal and later divide of Bengal in West and 'East Bengal' (read Bangladesh) is perhaphs root cause of this problem. Bengal unable to accept this changes has acccomodates lakhs of Moslim belong to Bangladesh thinking as they are real brothers of them (you know lost and find cases from Bollywood films) even granting all civil rights including voting.
Communist unable to accept possible threat to social structure and security of country when all the eastern states are fighting with terrorism.

May be, if a mad-cow disease comes as additional blessingbto bengal, along with the birdflu disease, the state may get eased of some beefeater moslems and chicken-eater atheists from the voters list; there could still be some chance for survival of hinduism there.
