Many will not agree with Mr Subrahmanyam for what went wrong with the deal. Mr PM was always saying during Parliament debates to wait for the release of final 123 Agmnt without actually taking into confidence the opposition on the objectionable contents of Agmt . After the deal is over now, PM says "Take it or leave it on my dead body". This is the main reason. Another point that Prsident can keep the US Congress in dark like our PM could keep Indian public and Parliament till the deals are over. But why at all we shd have a democles sword on our head in the form of Hyde Act to blackmail us on Foreign and economic policy issues to the benefit of USA. Can Mr Subrahmanyam or any other person supporting the deal answer my questions??

It is very simple. You can operationalize the deal and get it sold to UN body. After it is all said and done, don't buy any thing related to Nuclear field from US. There are other like France/ Germany who will be more than happy to supply India any thing it needs. If you don't bu any thing from US, how can US blackmail you.
Besides, in US not even US utilities are currently buying US reactors. Most of them are going for AREVA (French/German). Westinghouse and GE Nuclear power Plants will be built by Toshiba or Hitachi in future.
Niketas in India want to drive the economy to grave that where the constituency is, in slums.

Actually, what you are saying is one way of getting out of the blackmail. But there are two questions here:
(1) When you are finalizing a deal, why should we allow blackmail clauses in the first place, and then go about beating the bush? What you are saying should be the solution, when we find that WE ARE ALREADY TRAPPED IN AN AGREEMENT, WHICH WE DID NOT UNDERSTAND PROPERLY. Now, when we know that the Hyde Act is full of horrible clauses to the extent of showing CONTEMPT TO OUR SOVEREIGNTY, why not JUST TELL THE US TO INSERT A BLOODY CONDITION SAYING "US laws are not applicable to this international agreement", just like the China-US nuclear deal, OR GET LOST?
(2) Secondly, please read the Hyde Act. It says that, in the event of India crossing the line by conducting a test, not only the US will stop supply forcing our investment of BILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO GO DOWN THE DRAIN, but also, IT WILL EXERT PRESSURE ON OTHER NATIONS TO STOP SUPPLIES! And, be practical, how many nations will go against the wishes of the US in this unipolar world?
AGAIN, WHY JUMP INTO THE WELL AND THEN STRUGGLE TO COME OUT LIVE? TELL THE US THAT WE WANT A 123-AGREEMENT ON AN EQUAL BASIS, WITHOUT ANY OVERBEARING POWER OF US NATIONAL LAWS, OR TELL THE US TO GET LOST..!

No one supporting the deal can answer your question, because there is no logical defence to the deal. Only people who just take the Sonia/Congress/Manmohan rhetoric blindly will support the deal.. not the people who have actually gone through the atrocious clauses in the 123 agreement and, worse, the Hyde Act.
