policies ?
by Ashok Gupta on Jan 24, 2008 12:11 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

American policy is to fight terrorism in Afganisthan after 9/11. It needed Pakistan for their base. There is no idealism involved here as Pakistan is charging the USA a heavy price for being its friend. Pakistan also knew that if she did not give bases the America would not be a friend and perhaps club it with Afganisthan. So where is the policy ? Both are using each other - America is paying their usage bill - now where the money is going is the question - if not for welfare of the pakistani people ? then thats the problem. Support from the USA has made Musharraf weak as he is now not able to stand without US support. As long as dollars flow its acceptable. Can anyone really marginalise terrorists from the non terrorists ? How ? What is Imran Khans policies ? Talk is one and doing is another. Although it would be peaceful if all this killing and terrorist activity ended but that will end the flow of dollars as well.
