You people should know that the project has been studied by qualified engineers, economists, businessmen and higher executives. they discussed all aspects before coming to the conclusion. You fools are talking without proper knowledge and expertise. Do not be emotional, somebody want to encash your emotions. Be practical and think positively and get first hand knowledge. This project is well studied and perfect.

Mr.karunanidhi, Pl read the article "The Sethu Samudram does not make nautical sense" by Captain H Balakrishnan (published by Rediff some time back, still available) to understand the matter. Leave aside the faiths. This project is not technically and commercially viable.

dear friend ,i am in shipping business and this project is totally waste and it will not serve tuticorin port becouse imports in to tuticorin port does not come from direction of ship navigation via sscp but from middle east, russia and indonesia where those ships for supply of imports cargo need not use this sscp.this project will end up as a project of no return.

Forget the history part.
Is it practical to go with the project despite knowing that big ships cannot ply on this route. And most of the International Freight Carriers are big ship.
Do not to make this as a prestige issue and understand the reality.
