Media is highly biased in favour of rich and powerful

This is really ridiculous. I have full sympathy with the sister and mother of John. Any sister and mother, even of those who have been found guilty by law, will plead innocence of their wards. But why is media pleading their case? There are millions of sisters and mothers of Indians in India, whose sons and daughters are really innocent but they are at the receiving end of law because they can not afford high cost of justice. A great number of poor innocent undertrials are in jail although they have far exceeded their stay in jail if they would have been found guilty in case the trial was completed in time. Why is media not standing with them?

The rate at which we indians multiply... would be difficult for the media to track each person.. virtually impossible. Its easier to concentrate on the rich and powerful.. as they are fewer in number.
