Advani write up reminds us about Prof ML Sondhi.

Non-Alignment was the greatest mistake by Nehru.

Time to discard that. Lock, stock and barrel and choose friends depending on our interest.

IF A COMMUNIST CHINA COULD MAKE DEAL WITH USA IN LATE 1960s, WHY NOT INDIA?

Unfortunately FASCISM is deeply rooted in India. The Fascist however, doesn't know that he is a fascist. Fascist are strongly patriotic and think they belong to a higher breed. All other creatures are just mosquitoes for them to be crushed in their palms and trodden under their feet.

I used to tell those dumb right wingers who talk crap about Nehru & Co. to look at Pakistan. We had leaders with secular credentials after independence who were even willing to give up their life to promote secularism. Pakistan had its own leaders. Right wingers should see where we are today and where Pakistan is. If we had gone the Hindutva way after independence, we would have been exactly like Pakistan in all respect except our country would be called Hindustan (not because of Indus).
If it really about ones right to exist and the competition there in, then its the Fascist who don't deserve to exist, not their victims

I completely disagree. A hindu nation is completely different from an islamic nation.
Hinduism does not espouse the cause of annihilating others (which is given sanction in islam). Thus, a hindu India would have been just the way it is and not like pakistan. Only, yes, we would not have to tolerate stupid demands based on a 20-crore strong violent population calling itself a minority.

Dear Kaushik.

Extremsim has no religion.

RSS/VHP/BajrangDal/BJP are taking India (if they succeed, God forbid it!) where Pakistan has reached today.

Dear Baumik (if that is your real name),

You are using the same pseudo secular cliches of the pseudo secular English Language Media of India. The fact is semetic religions are exclusivist and Hindus are not. Aftermath of Godhra was an abberation, a massive deplorable reaction to the equally massive deplorable Godhra massacre!

If you must dwell in the past, please do not restrict it to 2002, go beyond and you will see the atrocities of the Islamists/Missionairies/Maxists/Macualytes on the Hindus, spanning nearly a milleneum!

India has to rise and shine, so please set aside religious/ideological and other narrow biases from your own mind. Be objective in your views and that will help us all stand together and help build India, brick by brick!

Pathur..,

"You are using the same pseudo secular cliches of the pseudo secular English Language Media of India. The fact is semetic religions are exclusivist and Hindus are not."

Point one: That first sentence of yours is the real chiche. It is thrown at anyone who criticise your kind of view point.

Point two: Nowhere I said Hindus are exclusivists. They are not, even if you say so. I was saying RSS/VHP etc are exclusivist, not Hindus. Hindus are never ever exclusivists.

Point three: The rest of your post is just cliches and cliches we have heard a hundred times over (especially that marxist macaulyte part). It is like a tin-drum, initially it sounds like music, then it starts grating.

Regards,
B
