ethnicity and religion are two different things, my friend. There are Gujarati muslims just as there are Keralaite muslims as there are Bengali muslims. They are not one big block like we would like to imagine

Oh sriram I wish but when it comes to taking sides they are one big block and much more than that. And you didnt get my point.She was born a gujju but shes married to a muslim :no doubt why shes such a vigorous campaigner for muslims .

and shes a convert ......no non muslim can get married to a muslim without conversion.Thatll explain a lot of things.

you are wrong!..... look at shahrukh khan, aamir khan.... they didnt converted their wifes, their wifes are still called on the name they were before marrige, only things changed is their kids names i guess but still they are very much participating all festivals

Dev - A few forward thinkers among Muslims is no doubt welcome, but these are isolated exceptions. Let's not kid ourselves into thinking that this is a trend, unless we have data to support it. So what Niranjan Shah is stating is relective of the usual trend.

EDIT:Teesta is an ethnic Gujarati but she is married to JAVED and has two children, Tamara and Jibran
