Before we gloat over the Pakistani military's defeat at the hands of the Taliban, spare a thought if these self appointed 'defenders of the faith' gain control of Pakistan itself! India's and the world's best interests lie in helping the Pakistani military somehow to defeat the Taliban.

It is not a question of offering help or sympathy for Pakistan. It is simply a matter of choosing the lesser evil! I'd rather trust Pakistan's nuclear weapons in the hands of a professional army rather than a bunch of crazed bearded fanatics!!
