That is the difference between Kerala and TN
by SP on Jan 14, 2008 02:08 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Modi reached Kerala y'day night and today morning he had a darsan at famous Guruvayur temple and he performed various religious rituals there and his visit was so peaceful and no protest, nothing. But everybody is watching, what is happening in TN, the intolerant people, how they are behaving? After all Modi is a CM of a State and he became CM with the support of people, the same way Karunanidhi became CM. The State Govt and the people should not forget our heritage "Adithi Devo Bhava". You should also remember that a lot of South Indian people including from TN are working in Gujrat. So what is the meaning of such protests? Modi is a CM and after all he is a CM who is ruling a State for a decade. He is not a Rakshas. It is very bad of the people of TN and State Govt.

You expect the Tamils working in Gujarat will be in Trouble? They will face a natural response as was the Godhra response?

It will be undemocratic to prevent an Indian citizen from one state visiting another state.

Moreover such demos will galvanize hindus and hindu polarisation will take place.

It is incorrect on your part to generalise that TN or the state government or whole Tamil community is against Modi just because few CPM cadres are protesting. These protests are not sponsored by the State Government. Moreover, Modi will be having luncheon meeting with AIADMK leader. Hence, please stop rubbishing TN and its people.
