Protection to Bilwal - Bhutto Family to Contribute
by jamsheed abumohammed on Jan 14, 2008 09:08 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

In his teens and still an undergraduate student in Oxford University, Bilwal was made co-chairman of the PPP was totally unwarranted and unnecessary. The PPP played a trick or two. They knew that he will be on target of Jihadis. If he is made a high profile leader, then security will be beefed up for him. Where was the need for him to become a chairman of the party when he is still studying. His father Zardari could have been an ideal choice given his past credentials. He was involved in a number of scams like his wife Benazir. She had swindled billion in kickbacks. Now that she was assassinated she became a martyr but her past record cannot be erased from the minds and records of the government. Prez. Mush was kind enough to withdraw all cases against her and her infamous husband or else she along with her husband could have been in jail serving life terms. The dynastic rule is also prevailing there in Pak like in India. If Bilwal is under threat, it is for the Bhutto family to provide personal security cover and not the government. They have stacked billions in Swiss Bank and let them spend for their son. Why should any government spend for him. Scotland Yard have rightly demanded to meet the cost and they must insist for more from them. Or else let this young man discontinue the studies in Oxford and lead the party in Pak, if he is so wanted in the PPP. Will PPP do this. This is totally absurd in a country like Pak to promote dynastic rule among the politicians. Dangerous.

You are upset that jehadis are not ruling Pakistan , it seems. Bhuttos are the last fighters against Islamic rule in Pakistan . Much as the Gandhis are the only defenders of Indian secularism. In South Asian culture - dynastic rule is the best guarantee that scums do not take over power.

read my post...I have not said a word that Bhuttos or for that matter Gandhis stand for democracy. keeping fundamentalists out is more important than democracy because fundamentalist would mean the rule of the irrational and the uncivilized. Political freedom is less important than cultural freedom.

Bhuttos have got nothing to do with democracy, it is just the greed for power by hook or crook. This is similar to Gandhi dynasty whose pseudo-secularism and minority appeasing is the root cause of poor local administration and poor foreign policies. It is beacuse of this pseudo-secularism that the country lot of secuirty concerns in north and north east.

India is together only because of the so called "pseudo secularism". This makes sure all sections of society feel that they have a stake in the country. The moment one section starts claiming to be the sole "Indian culture" - rebellion and separatism will become strong and legitimate. Much like LTTE is fighting Sinhalas who are against Hindus and want to implement only Buddhism in Lanka.
