TAMIL EALAM -? be very specific.

TAMIL NAUDU - is the State of TAMILS.
you want a free independent country TAMIL NADU?

The SRILANKA is the country of SINHALEES, and have many TAMILS living there for years.
If you speak about the TAMILS in Srilanka, who are there for so many years, A EQUAL CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS for them with SINHALEES .. thats require.d

But anything to divide SRilanka, must be destroyed from the root.

As we says to the Muslims in India who are more worried about pakistan, to leave india and goto pakistan, similarly, request the Tamils who are unhappy with Srilanka to leave Srilanka and come to INDIA.

with the current increase in population of Bangladeshis in India, no wonder, tomorrow they will also stand up demanding BENGALI EEALAM???

Sri Lanka has never been the country of the Sinhalas only. That is what the Sinhalas want the world to believe and are striving for. The North and East and large parts of the North West were alwys Tamil. The Sinhlese never even had a peep in these anciient Tamil Lands. All these lands toghether with the hapless native Tamils were habded to them by the British on a platter with no adequate protection of any minority rights. his was a dream come true to the Sinhalas. They had eyed these ancient Tamil lands for thousands of years but have not been able to do much. because of the Cholas, Pandyans and then the Tamil Kings of Jaffna and the Tamil chieftans in the East. The first thing that they did soon after independence was to make around 1 million Tamils of recent Indian origin stateless after living there for around 100 years. Then they started their experiment of Sinhalising Tamils forcibly. They toghether with the Sinhala Carholic Church, forcibly assimilated and Snhalised around 250000 poor Tamil Catholic fishermen in the Chilaw( Chilapam in Tamil )and Puttalam areas. native indeed around 50 to 70% of the present day Sinhalas are descended from South Indian Tamil migrants who only migrated to Sri Lanka around 600 to 10o years ago . The descendants of these recently Tamil turned Sinhala castes are the most anti Tamil. This happened during the Portugues rule in the 1600s when the Tamil west and south coasts were forcibly converted to Cathloism and then to Buddhism.

Sorry you are wrong. The entire Sri Lanka was populated by the Sinhalese from very ancient times. Tamils invaded Sri Lanka from Tamil Nadu and pushed the Sinhalese southwards. That is why Tamils are found in the north of the country and in the coastal areas of the north-east. It is the Tamils who have been eying Sinhalese land, not happy with their own Tamil Nadu which is twice the size of Sri Lanka. Even much of the town names in the Jaffna peninsula have Sinhalese origins. Tamils have a recent history in Sri Lanka compared to the SInhalese.
