For asking me to get a lesson on comprehension!!! would you call Keith devlin a Idiot for saying As Scientists we are children of Islam".. The fact that our Indian great minds contributed to mathematics doesnt discount the fact that Muslims laid much of the foundations of modern science

What you mention is Devlin's opinion. What I quoted were facts that he mentions. In understanding a piece you need to look at the sum of the parts, with contexts of the parts contributing to your understanding.I repeat,a lesson in comprehension would do you no harm!

Vedi ji you must let go of this argument.Islam has accepted that knowledge must be acquired and used.Which is a good mindset to have. The only problem with Islam right now is dogmatism and extremism. And since we have ample evidence that in their quest for knowledge they had to tap into the resources of our civilization,we should not keep repeating it for fear of sounding like blowing our own trumpet.I am sure Balaord agrees.

If you have little bit of History of medicine , then you would never require a introduction to this - United States National Library of Museum nlm.nih.gov/ Type "Islamic" in the search text box and go to any link, it has thousands of pages with Specific sections for different disciplines and the contribution of Islam to that. The readers would be surprised to find that all major disciplines of Medicine are found and cherished Muslims during the Golden Age of Islam.

Guys- I am doubly proud because we Indians have invented the ZERO,ofcourse the Muslims recorded and made many fundamental mathematical discoveries using that. This simply proves that we can always unite and work for the global good. Only a stupid will deny that Muslims travellers learnt many great things from india-for exmaple Al-biruni.As a Muslim and Indian , it makes me doubly doubly proud I am simply stating and citing many academic links in support of islam to dispell certian myths and prejudice they have about Muslims and Islam

It is true Muslims are in many way no match for the rest of world. This however doesnt discount that it is Islam which laid the foundations of modern science. You have to understand that Muslims countries are still reeling from the effects of British colonizations.

Only contribution of Islam to this world is jehad and terrorism.Islam and Koran has made its followers satan and fantics. It is affecting other religions also.To defend themselves from islam other religions have also appected the theory of jehad or crusade and are now becoming fanatics
