The Ram Sethu was not built by monkeys.These were humans similar to Australoids and were strong and well built with very dark complexions because of exposure to the harsh sun in the south. They were mainly meat eaters and probably had big upper teeth and must have looked different from Shri Ram%u2019s men who came from the north. Later day story tellers depicted them as Vanaras or monkeys and several generations of artists drew faces to look like monkeys. Like that of Shri Hanuman. It is like Harbajjan calling Symonds a monkey.
