I love your reply. I think the women whether Local or Tourist should have the right to take extreme measure in self defense, since it is clear that the Law enforcement agencies are failing repetedly to enforce any Law and protect the fundamental rights of the citizens. BAN THE POLICE... I am currently residing out of India and although I love India and would want to come back eventually I feel very insecure even about visiting my own country on my own. I also have to give crdit to western women who demand that the Law is enforced and they get justice.

I truly empathize with your feelings and I think its got to do more with the awareness levels - sexual education and if it is discussed openly then I am sure there can be a gradual change... But it has to be seconded by stringent law enforcements... the DIG -- or should I say the DOG and his son are still absconding
