Problem with Bengal
by thomas on Jan 09, 2008 12:22 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

The Bengal's problem is unique-The people are against the CPM, but they win convincingly-I had seen my cadre friends voting numerous times earlier, now a days they keep their method secret and dont tell it to me-Its really something noone can find out-My take is that Bengal will be CPM's den forever.Maybe the friendly govt of UPA has some understanding with them.

CPM banks to a great extent on the rural and the poverty vote. Their policies have to be directed to-wards them but only policies-they do not have the means to improve their lot and fool the people of "anti people" policies by labelling the investors capitalists etc. Sad but the plight of the common man has not significantly improved. Now many will say neither has that in the non communist states either which is also true but employment opportunities are greater and atlest there is hope.
