Democracy has nothing to do with it. It is the poor justice system.

Probaly police made some money out of being lenient. IN india one can do murder and walk off, if he is tied up with local police inspector and pay him as little as 100 $.

releasing on bail does not mean acquital ... it just means that charges and evidence together do not make the accused a danger to the society.

Every judicial system has a provision on releasing on bail.

It is process of giving freedom to accused. later on police and judges can make more money in never ending acquital process which never sees its end, atleast 10 to 20 years.

still it is the law of the land the the judge has to observe it ... even if the judge is aware of corruption in judiciary, he may not deny bail citing possible motive of the accused to bribe police and judiciary while out on bail.

Dimaag se kaam le, emotion se naheen.

I am not against bail, but against corrupt indian judiciary?
Tell me how many judges do their job honestly or how many police in india do their job honestly..

I don't think foreign tourist or foreign tourist have dimaag who has to go by your theory. is that right? I think you must be born and bought with with the public money and bribe income in your family. Any non-govt , public or entity will not favour your words or have trust in indian legal system which has been rusted to the core.

Indian legal system has been oxidized with poisonous gases...LOL... i don;t think anyone with right minnd will deny this.

ha ha ... nothing ... paid nothing for birth certificate ... well honestly I don't know ... but they never told me that they had to pay bribe for registering my birth.

didn't pay to the passport wallah cop ... (I am a US perm. resident) ... never had the misfortune of going to a police station in India or even in the US.

For most law abiding people like me in India, police and legal system is not an issue ... yes, if you are a criminal and police has been tough with you ... screwed you when you were down, they you deserved it
