The BJP is trying to fish in murky waters. The BJP is not a party that had fought for freedom of speech or expressions. The BJP and its supporting units had vandalised many art exhibitions depicting Hindu gods in poor light. The BJP had keep out in strong opposition to Deepa Mehta's Fire.
Artists should have the right to paint and write their inner feelings, but that should not be at the cost of hurting the sentiments of people. What kind of artistic creation did the artist want to put up by drawing offensive pictures of Hindu gods? If you have a talent in you, you should know how to use it in the right manner.
Taslima is on the run for hurting sentiments of people where she was born. India provided refuge and protection. Instead of thanking India for the support, she is reloaded with even more fiercesome remarks on a minority community. Why do we need to provide her protection when she is all geared up to create friction among the different communities of India?
The BJP should not paint this situation with political or communal colours.

why not they teach these lessons to muslims whi have protested against Danish cartoonist(most of them is not ven seen that cartoon),Taslimas and so on....

M F Hussain trangressed his limit and was shown the door and now he is in London.
Recently one sikh appeared in the dress of Guru Gobind Saheb Ji and he had to face the brunt.
The blood in the vein of muslim is not different. It is hot enough to teach lesson to people like Salman Rushdie and Tasleema nasreen.
She has a right to cricise the muslims, the maulvis for their wrong doings but she can not write baseless things about Islam.

All major tv channel showed the cartoons when they ran the news regarding it, And i think it natural for muslims to protest - even hindus protest in uk and usa when the -gods like -ganesh and lakshmi appeared on toilet lids, and recent incident of mercy killing a cow by uk Govt caused the uproar by hindus
