I dont think is a media spread story anymore. Ask any maharashtrian and he/she will nod their head in agreement. The sentiment in Maharashtra is very similar to the period before the AASU agitation in Assam. The cost benefit analysis of staying in the Union does not make sense if you become a minority in your own state, no matter what document says that including the constitution.

agreed with u but i said criminal mindset has no barrier of state or linguistic ppl. its not the question of who did it. main reason behind it was 31st celebration n drunkardness of the perverts, any1 who over drinks in the name of 31st or whatever, the pervertness wud come out.

True crime knows no boundary, race, religion or ethnic barriers. However this still does not deny the basic problem that being of mass migration. Marathi speaking people have to make a decision. They have to decide to either accept being a minority in their own state or secede from the union. This is pretty much the choice that was left to the Assamese. Instead of bangladeshi's in assam, we have N. Indians in maharashtra. Similar choices will also have to be made by Karnataka soon and Andhra later.
