Mumbai progressed to become the financial capital of India mainly due to the MIGRANTS from all over InDIAN states. There are many PARSI's Gujaratis' Sindhis, Punjabis who migrated during partition and settled down in MUMBAI with family and contributed to the Mumbai progress.
But the city have a limit to absorb. it is now bulging with population. Had anybody criticising mumbai ever seen the MUMBAI CENTRAL, CST stations when a Train from other states land. its a huge number of people pouring into mumbai from differnt parts of country looking for jobs due to lack for opportunities in their states.
It already absorbed Five times more than the population it can accomodate.
need to control this situation, else the increase in more population in mumbai will result many not getting livelihood, and end up in the hands of unwanted anti social elements.

Hey GN,,,,Do you have a selective memory? So what did Marathis do in this city of ours GN? Let me ask you this,,,Which industries were their when these communities came to Mumbai? As far as I know Parsis were called the Indian whites by Britishers,,,who use to do "hamali" for Britishers, who use to be spys for Britishers so that Britishers can apprehend freedom fighters of that time. Sindhis built illegal towns namely Ambernath and Ulhasnagar to carry own illegal trades, till today they do it. Gujarati were baniyas and grocers,,and when Britishers left Gujratis manipulated to get hold on British cotton Mills of Mumbai,,which were built, run and operated by Marathis. What industry Punjabis built? Name one big company. So name the companies which were built by these communities? If you don't know Mumbai then shut up,,,and if you know Mumbai then speak the truth. Varsha the outsider is going up and down,,,One more thing don't try to insult Marathis.
