Its a shame and this act should be treated as treason. The Muftis have been trying to play the our biys card for a long time and now the congress are a party to this. The UPA is so blinded by the monirity factor that they cannot see the harm they are causing or turning a blind eye. I ask the minorities what kind of citizens are they if they object as members of their comminuty to hold the country to ransom and kill innocent people by blowing them selves up, exploding devices in commuting trains etc. None of the Javed Akther / Shabana Azmi have come out and spoken of outrage against their community. Why.

Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azami and their ilk speak only when there is talk of Hinduism and/or to criticize BJP for every thing. Remember, when Shabana was the nominated member of Rajya Sabha, she had rushed to Delhi from abroad to vote against BJP vote of confidence? What do you expect from such Hindu bashing people? They never speak even when muslim women are raped by their fathers-in-law but will be highly vocal to criticize people talking for Hindus.

Javed Akhtar and Shabana are bothered about saving life of terrorist like Sohrabuddin and Afzal Guru. In fact majority of Muslims and congress party are anti BJP and against implementation of POTA law. This Indian Muslim congress party considers them Secularist but are in fact biggest communal party of the world and only understand policy of appeasement of Muslims.

Dear Junaid, As far as I know you have full freedom to practice your religion in Kashmir. How does it make a difference to you if Kashmir remains with India ? You can be a good muslim even if Kashmir is a part of India. Can you tell me one verse from the Quran that says that a muslim can only be a muslim if he has his/her own land ?

Even if there is a verse in the Holi Qoran about the muslims being muslims only when having a land of their own, then what about Pakistan which they had taken by fighting? Are the muslims of Pakistan real muslims? If so then why do they kill their own people and rape their own women?

Srini, it is not about practising religion. It is about Kashmiris having a state of their own. If India was ruled from outside would you not fight for your independence. After all British never stopped Hindus from practising their faith. It is not a religious, but a political issue of a nation that wants to be free from foreign yoke.
