Have you read the article? It says in India in the first line and the aouthor Vicky Nanjappa is in Bangalore. it also says the bangalore police arrested Mallika. Hope it answers your questions.

this female is from bangalore and the places that she picked atleast a few are just outside bangalore, some temple towns
