How does democracy is Pak benefit India?
by kaka on Jan 04, 2008 10:48 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Why do we here in India think a democracy in pak will solve the militant problems? Why should a democratically elected government be any better at fighting the terrorists than the present army government?
Why should a new government be more favorable than the current army one when it comes to resolving kashmir issue when actions of no previous elected governments point to the same? Infact if I'm not wrong the Musharaf government were the ones to come closest to coming to a settlement in kashmir?
So, why do we want a democracy again? Is it cause we genuinely feel for the paki ppl or just cause we want a democracy wherever possible?
