Another feather to B'lore's cap
by Sweet on Jan 02, 2008 04:28 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

After the famous infrastructure mess up, Traffic-without-planning, Lousy-&-silly-government, Cab-driver-rapers and Stray-dogs-killing-kids, this news seems to add another feather to Bangalore's cap. Will this d1rty place ever stand a chance to atleast recover to a state of tier3 towns like Sholapur and Thane?

Hi Sweety
You find these features everywhere in India, including your town. Dont try to complain Bangalore. The messed up thing happened just because of you people coming down to Bangalore to create the problem.

Prashant...
You forget we also give bread and livelihood to thousands of Kannadigga's.....!! Without foreign companies and people Bangalore cannot progress.... today even Infosys has more outsiders running the show than Kannadiga's.. BTW Kannadigha's are in minority at Bangalore. Tamil, Telgu , Malyali and people from other parts of India and World rule Bangalore...!!!!

The lady serial killer is not frm north, the govt is not from north and neither are the famous stray dogs of B'lore from north. Then why always complain outsiders for an inside-mess-up-story?

Anyway, we should perhaps stay away from this you-city-is-trash discussion. This article was never about a city, in the first place.

And if someone doesn't like a place, he would do very well to leave it and go back to the paradise he has come from. It's because outsiders settle down for generations without joinging the mainstream that you have become an insulated community that's labelled as 'outsiders'. I for one, would be perfectly happy to learn Marathi and live like one, if I'd chosen to settle down in Maharashtra.

Let's stop dragging this discussion.

Yes Outsiders have made Bangalore what it is today. Without outsiders and scores of Multinational Bangalore would have remain sleepy town.. a pensioners paradise... and would not have become a thrieving software hub.... Lucky certain Devegowda was away from power in 90's else it would have become a farmers or rural paradise...!!!

"our city" is said because somebody is saying your city is dirty so we say "our city" but don't think we don't love our India, we love lot our India.

Dear thane-lover, please realise that it's no word of malice when you're told that thousands of outsiders like yourself have come in to make today's Bangalore what it is. For, this is the truth.

Ask anyone who's seen the Bangalore of the '80s and before - far better than any of the other dusty cities in India. Or the grand, slum-infested shantytowns you're used to seeing everywhere in your own state.

If B'lore is what it is today, almost full credits to you outsiders. No one wants you here, you should realise.

That shows how jealous and inferior you feel by the growth of non-south indians coming to B'lore. If you think no one wants us here and we should leave this place, why the hell you guys crib for onsite? Even you are outsiders for those countries.
