government by the people for the people
by Muhammad on Feb 29, 2008 04:38 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

what annoys me the most abt this project is why doesn't the government bother to educate/inform the indian citizens why the project is beneficial and same time try to understand that it's a matter of faith nd since we the are the ones who voted them to power, we very can and will being them down if they don't act in the interest of the citizens and being a muslim i find it amusing that a government which has mostly hindu members would so arrogantly violate and insult the very hindu citizens who voted them to power.

Assuming this project is of importance to the nation and this is not a man man structure, why can't the government have a dialouge with the citizens and inform them of the benefits. this applied to religious structures/struscures bound by faith of any religion in india.

to you all on the board, why do we have to wait for BJP to rake up the issue, why can't we the people join hands and let those in power know we can't be taken lightly...and i always thought that the bridge was built by ram and has major historical/religious implications for us indians, this is not a babri masjid which never had any real value to muslims...

doesn't it amuse you when the press of mostly hindu members demean the hindus and their culture?
doesn't it amuse you when the govt. of mostly hindu members doles out haj subsidies?
doesnt it amuse you when the govt of mostly hindu members fall at the feet of minorities and appease them?
so whats so great in this arrogant violation and insult to hindus by upa?

and yes...
look at what the muslims did in vadodara when a tweeny weeny mullahs grave was removed to build a road... did the muslims behave sanely?
how can you expect hindus to accept the decision of the upa govt?
and what education/information do you want to give the people of india.
that there was not ram, just like there is no jesus and allah and prophet?

check the scientific studies done by research groups .. they say the project is harmful.
check what the coast guard says.. they say it is dangerous.
check what the local fishermen say.. they say it will kill their livelihood..

think it's time for us muslims to unite and ask for subsidies so i can go to haj and wash of my sins too....

dil pe mat le yaar
keep it cool guys, as it is we have enough tensions in our day to day life.

All your pleas are going to fall on deaf ears. This whole Drama is being enacted & pushed through with an ulterior motive i.e. the Profits of Trade Lobbies being nurtured by the Kangress & Lungi Karunanidhi. They give two hoots for National Benefit.
