Let me first clarify this, the Quran is not for Muslim alone. It is the manifest of God for the entire humanity. God wants us to glorify HIM and appreciate HIS creation. That is the sole purpose of our creation. Yes, God shows HIS anger for the disbelievers and warns them of the consequence in the hereafter.
