No need of complacency here. India should test anti-satellite missile, inter-continental ballistic missible (10000km) with multiple warheads, develop skills to build its own aircraft carrier like USS Nimitz etc (rather refitting aged Soviet Ghorshkov, build stealth bomber like B-52, Tupolev strategic bombers and main battle tank (Note Arjun was failed and India is dependent on T-90 on Russia).
I would like to say that India lies 30 years behind from what the western countries have today. Example: US, Soviet Union (now Russia)and European Union countries tested ICBM, SLBM in 1960s and we are yet to test and induct them. Now Russians have developed laser based anti-satellite weapons, missiles that move in zig-zag manner to avoid any anti-missile defence and many surprises are with them!

We need to develop modern weapons systems to influence atleast our destiny.
It is 61 years since we had tryst with destiny but infighting has taken us no where.
In 1960's Indian currency was used in West Asia also like Dubai and Oman but these days liliput countries like Bahrain / Kuwait / UAE want to negotiate with us on a equality basis.
These buggers do not treat the Indian citizens properly in their countries and they think they are stronger than us based on a perceived American Power.
If we have our own nuclear warships and submarines in their back yard (I mean Persian / Arabian Gulf) and our planes above their heads it will give us better financial advantages.
If we can control jsut Kuwait / UAE will give access to free oil which will remove poverty in our country.

Rise above Pakistan Mr Arvind. Dont you like to see Indian Strategic Bombers flying over Russian or USA aircraft carriers!
By the way, Pakistan is a pawn in the hands some countries mentioned above who dont like India to be a super power!
When India tests such super-weapons, Pakistan is just nothing! So when you compare with the best, the worst will give away the space for you!
So India should rival USA, Russia and EU! By the way we need a Vladimir Putin for the same (Remember when Vladimir Putin took over in 2000 as President of Russia, Russians were standing in queue for bread! (Incredible isn't it!). And now they are back, flying Tupolev strategic bombers over pacific ocean close to Guam military base of USA (Of course much to the heart burn of USA!)
