The main reason behind this tragedy is the demand from China for tiger skin, nails, meat, etc. When there is demand for soemthing, it is very difficult to ban the supply and stop the market in a free market economy. People will find a way to meet the demand at good prices. The only solution to this problem is to stop the demand by doing something about chinese hunger for tiger skin, penis, etc. being served in Chinese restaurants and tiger paws and skin used in ornaments and costumes.
