These all politicians are become mad now. One day they may say do not speak english. What is this? Nobody imposing any lang on you man. One national language is needed for india. Marathi , marathi what i don;t know. Why marathi manus going to USA and speaking in english? Why maharashtra schools have english subject? First ask them those are fighing for marathi Which lang your there grand childrens studing? Are they in convent school?

Ao Wht u saying UP and Bihari if they go to US they speak Hindi and Bhojpuri there...? whatever u say applies to those states also. One national language is needed....?? ok Start from bottom UP..Say Tamilnadu or may be Kerala...How abt that..?

Its very simple... Marathi people when go to USA, speak the language of that part. When they go to France, they need to understand/speak French if they want to stay there longer... isn't that what Thakray is also suggesting? If you are a visitor in Mumbai, thats ok, but if you want to be a resident of Mumbai and work in the Civic system, they better learn the local language and abide with local laws and customs. I dont see any problem here.
There can be debates upon imposing the national language in every state, but then South Indian states need to do a lot before anyone points a finger to Maharashtra...

Mandar-- seriously man pls I thot maharashtrians will be better than this at least.. When marathi guy goes to US, he "has" to accept what US or France says because ur he is going to a "foreign" country. U cant expect a person to know all the local languages.. yet freedom of movement is more important than language and so anyone can come to Mumbai but still not be reqd to learn Marathi.. If the person survives.. whu r u to force him to learn marathi.. similarly if a person can survive in TN w/o speaking Tamil , more power to him.. I will tell u what the problem is.. Marathi people cannot live in Mumbai w/o speaking other languages.. Period...

I thought you would be better if you think little bit in details.U saying if person can survive without learning marathi in mumbayi ..ok i agree..Why the same ppl insist to have Hindi in Mumbay VidhanBhavan ..? If they can survive they should be able to deal with local language there too..Why they say that MH raj karbhar has to be in Hindi...?

Dare, first you should be considerate to 99.99% who doesn't move from their home state. only less than .01% people move from their state.
is not stupid to ask more that 99.99% of the population to study some other language to help some people who move from state to state?
if you leave your home, better learn to survive in new area... don't demand the other people help you out
