Deal
by Fried Yakov on Feb 20, 2008 07:34 PM   Permalink

If the deal matters to the US as much as it matters to India, then the US should take additional measures to get India to ink the deal. For India, the deal opens up other areas of nuclear cooperation with other countries too, as without the US blessings disguised in the form of agreements with the IAEA, in the present world scenario no country is willing to deal with India, as France and Russia have recently stated. (They are the countries most supportive of a nuclear India). So I believe that the deal is important for India. But, the US should also walk its part and attract India to the deal by offering substantial other hi technology transfers (maybe of the F22 raptor or the F35 or other hitech stuff). It is a deal, and both parties need to walk their part.
