Shame on us for fighting over everything.
by --- on Feb 20, 2008 07:04 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Rather than being jealous or angry, why don't we work together for an India where everybody is equal and all languages are welcome everywhere? Why don't we recognize that all Indian languages are as beautiful as our culture? Every language is the Godess Saraswathi herself. Why don't we acknowledge that every Indian is a friend? How do we expect to progress if we get divided on lines of language too? Are not the existing divisions on class and caste not enough?

Ramanana Avare, I never said it is a shame to have pride in language and land. I said it is a shame to fight between Indians based on language. And what is wrong in being proud of all our languages? When you read about Jhansi Rani Laxmibai or Kittur Rani Channamma, are you not proud of them equally? Or do you say that Laxmibai was from the north, therefore I am not proud of her? Every language is beautiful and every language is the Godess Saraswathi herself.
