Belgav will be in Maharashtra. The municipal corporation is still ruled by Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti and it (MES) keeps winning all the time.3/4th of the population is Marathi speaking. So Belgav is in Maharashtra

why the hell should that be done,when sholapur is not given to karnataka,which has 70% kannadigas.

You should also note that Mahajan commission said that it is impractical to split as the surronding areas near the border has majority kannada population.

Belagavi is intergral part of karnataka.. MES creating non-sense. Muncipal is not ruled by MES. Karnataka ppl are generous enough to allow marathis in local bodies and now this is wot they are upto...
