Though there are considerable number of Indians in the US, I am highly skeptical whether such a high number are illegals. I hope India continues to develop at a lightning pace, as India's rapid development has brought about a welcome change- one that so many years of restrictive government policies could not do- it has started reversing the brain drain with some educated and skilled Indians returning to India leaving their jobs in US/Europe. If this economic growth of India continues undisturbed, emigration is bound to diminish. Focussing on economic groth is the need of the hour.

I know there are a significant number of Indians who take up jobs at petrol stations and etc etc professions that are not highly skilled per say and wouldnt have been acheived on a H1-B. I think this article is incomplete. The thesis is most Indians arrive in the US legally through H1, B-1 etc but continue their stay after the visa expires, thus making them illegal. Obviously its the greed of the American corps to blame here as much as the ones who stay back. This article is frankly bogus and furthers nothing but anti India agenda.
