Musharaff once told that the border between India and Pakistan should be made irrelevant. I fully agree with that. I had/have an even broader suggestion and that is the re-unification of Bangladesh, India and Pakistan and I say that is the only way for a permanent solution to the Kashmir dispute. I have an even broader suggestion that all the borders in this world should be made irrelevant. Do not say that it is impossible. Did you not see the re-unification of East and West Germany even when both had entirely different political lines? If someone were suggesting this a half century ago, people would have laughed at that saying that idea as ridiculous. We have European Union now. These are all proven possibilities and you can see the invaluable advantages it brings in those nations. However, to make such things possible, there are certain unavoidable things that should be in place like an atmosphere conducive enough to sow the seed, a mature generation, a broad consensus and above all, a clear vision understood and accepted by all of a bright future where all the parties involved will be at the beneficiaries end.

I totally agrre with you sabestian!If south Asia has to develop then merger is the only solution as if India, pakistan and B'desh merge first good thing to happen will be the drastic reduction in defence budget ,which can be utilized to upgrade health ,education and sanitation of the masses which are living in subhuman conditions in these 3 countries.We just need once co-incidence to happen to make this possible ,we just need the head of state in India and Pakistan who truly think about the plight of the people of these 2 countries. But Alas! Politicians in both the countries thrive on politics of hatred and divisiveness.Till the time such stalwarts emerge in India and pakistan we will continue to have India and Pakistan hostile towards each other.

Pakistan, India & bangladesh will merge soon to form a Islamic country...atleast northern India till delhi will be dominated by Muslims...south india will be dominated by xians...Hindus will be sandwhiched in between...Mazaa aayega

What will these two (Pak and Bangla), bring to India, other than violence, hatred, illiteracy, etc. Why Indians in a sense should pay for these people? indians have risen in world view not because of aid or help from any developed nation, but by sheer will power, guts and education of the young and old Indians alike. Time and again we have not ben helped by developed nations, and still Indians have done it. No sir, we love Indai that we have made. Wer dont want merger of any country, nor we want to give away an inch of our land. We ourselves have enough problems, like the one started with Raj Thackeray, where he is not accpeting people of his own country. And you are talking about acceptance of a whole
