Being gay is just an anomaly of nature... we are so conformed to norms that our perception towards them is negative...
This is not a western inflicted disease - even in times of Mahabharata, there was Shikandi... But unlike modern perception, all men were treated with respect due to them...
We should learn more about our ancient culture... not the translated texts by atheists and propagators of other religion...!

Brihannala and Shikhandi may not have been "gay", but their characters in Mahabharatha, which was several thousands of years old, show that ancient Indian culture was liberal and tolerant of multiple forms of sexuality.
Ajanta and Ellora also depict erotic art, including gay art.
India became "conservative" after Muslims and Christians started plundering our country and culture.
Ancient India was the most liberal in sexuality.
Draupadi had five husbands. It was unusual, but the society was liberal and broad-minded and accepted everything, without frowning upon anything.

If you read the vedas and Upanishads you will not find them, Mahabaratha is only a story and not history. Though Homosexuality is found in all parts of the world even before 3000 years that does not mean you have to follow.
Do you follow the sudhra system, un-touchability and Sati which are also ancient in nature and part of the Hindu culture?
