Thanks Tarun. you have highlighted the North East problems at the core but no one bothers!! No One bothers !! I suffered a lot from north east Violence and strongly believe by the step motherly attitude of the Indian Govt that North Esat should never been a part of India. I and many like me from NE will consider the rest of idia as mainland and North east as a diff part. But believe me if needed we can lay down our lives for India. But alas the poeple, the Govt have a step motherly attitude towards NOrth East ... the main land Indian people will call them girls from North east -- isnt it racism ... it was rightly shown in CHAK DE....
My heart Reels with the pain of being and indian and suffered being indian but never been got the priviledge of a citizen of india. why noone care for north east!! arunachal pradesh - a newspaper will reach there after two days... if you require a good book u have to go to guwahati or calcutta - whats the infrastructure........... evryyear it will get disconnected with the mainland ..during rains... how many colleges does north east have w.r.t per 1000 students ???? Govt does nothing .... earlier till BJP govt came we used to land in those airports where it will be barricated by TINs and Haw huts!! yyeah this was an airport.... Govt of india never considered NE as its own part .... except for the BJP goverment....

You are absolutely right. All governments need to give special importance to the neglected people of our seven sisters.
That is of utmost urgency. The rest of India can take care itself if we have better quality of netas.
The RSS could have influenced the govt to improve the situation when BJP was in power. But as all Indians did not vote for the BJP we waddled with Vajpayee and his 17 crutches.
But the fact is all Hindus (by that I mean Hindis or Indians) will never vote unitedly now.
Even discussions here divide us Indians into North and South, East and West.
FOR US TO HAVE A UNITED INDIA THE REGIONAL POLI-TICKERS MUST BE CONTROLLED.
Because UPites and Biharis (all clubbed together as Biharis) in Assam worked hard, ISI sponsored ULFA started killing them, so they fled (to Mumbai) and Bangladeshis have filled the void in the East.
Every one knows this but I am just reminding them that at that time Maulana Mulayam Singh and Lalu Prasad Yadav, both messiahs of UP and Bihar, respectively, were mum. Because if they opened their mouths, they would lose their Muslim votes.
Now they speak with all orifices wide open !
Now Hindus are fighting Hindus in Mumbai and HINDIS are the victims. Soon you may see the Marathi OBCs and Hindu & Muslim Poonabias of Maharashtra on one side against the Savarna Marathi forward class that the Thackeray kids belong to.
A divided Mahaashtra will shatter our dreams to stay a United India.
