Mr. Tarun Vijay, I am a big fan of you. But I disagree with your article this time. If being Indian is enough, what does it mean by a slogan by BSP? "Uttar Pradesh to Jhanki hai, Maharashtra baki hai". Also, why the UP and Bihar people do not get gelled in local culture even after living here for 4-5 generations? Some of my collegues are from UP and Bihar and I have always seen them making fun of Marathi traditions? Why?

I agree with you. THis is the time to show these people their place - their own states, atleast because of this issue their states will start thinking of development of their states. Why don't these people challenge thier leaders to give them good governance instead of spoiling the culture of our cities.

Do you think that the Governments in Mumbai have given "good" governance? Stop this kind of foolish thinking. Mumbai has been developed to this state of glory by mostly non-Maharashtrians, like Parsees, Gujaratis, Biharis, Rajasthanis, and South Indians. You stupid guys do not have brains to understand this simple truth.

So do Maharashtrians make fun of other persons, for instance about South Indians calling them "sambar vadas" in derogatory sense but at the same time do not fail to throng S I restaurants for relishing the very same dishes! Do not Maharashtrians settled permanently in other states celebrate Ganesh Festival with the same pomp as any one does in Maharashtra? Does a Maharashtrian settled in Jaipur or Jodhpur observe Kadva Chauth? Does one settled in South India observe Pongal? or in Kerala the Onam or Vishu? Stop this kind of stupid thinking, Nikhil!

Yes. Mumbai has welcomed many generations of outsiders with open hands. Now a time has come for these outsiders to give it back. It is not Maharashtrians who has made Mumbai what it is today. There are very few Maharashtrain owned companies in Mumbai/Maharashtra , but there more non Maharashtraian owned companies in Mumbai. Have Rajji got the guts to say Gujjus to go away with your establishments and money. Then he will be playing cricket with his 50 goodas(As Pawarji told)One Bhaiya comes..he brings his wife follows. This is unending. To make things streamlined, better say now or never. The need of the hour is wilingness, which Rajji has got it. Keep up the antenae, we are all with you

the slogan is given by a political party who wants to go national. so let thackerays and congress bother about it and you bother about voting to your beloved party, that is how u r going to make diference and all of us as a voter am i right? and not by creating hatred between two groups. don't marathi people make fun of upiites and biharis. but it should be taken in a lighter sense and not to loose sleep over such funny matters. understood nikhl?
