Islam situates itself in history. It clearly says that it is in the line of "Truth" - the spread of which was first bestowed on prophet Adam - the first man on earth.What Islam seeks is to call the people from wrongs of life to a "staright path" free from any kind of negativity.Life,as Islam sees it, is a trust given to us by God to be used in a manner which is in conformity with ideals and teachings of the Quran.Since Islam establishes direct relatiuonship between man and the creator,he should try to reflect and come to the conclusion of what is Truth in the din of competeing religions.But his decision will have its effetc - in the hereafter.

Dear Hail Humanity, is there any reference to "Islam" in the Old Testament or New Testament? You people alawys claim that the generation from Adam and Eve are Muslims but there are no reference to "Muslim" or "Islam" in these books.
Islam is an arabic word that means "Total submission of your will to God". It is the same message give to all since Adam through innumerable messengers of God.
Over the time these messages got corrupted and thus the need for messengers from time to time. But with Islam God say that HE has compleated HIS message to the mankind and has perfected HIS religion.
Islam invites all the pupil of Book to cross check what they have been practicing and what according to GOD is THE TRUTH.
BUT GOD also says that it is HE who choses to bestow HIS mercy and show the right path and if he doesnt wish then none can see the TRUTH.
So all we need to do is ask for GUIDANCE from our true CREATOR.

Mr.Mohammed Abdul Sami, yes I agree with you that Islam means "submission to God" but it was a term used by Mohammed as a unique selling point. There was no religion called Islam till Mohammed was about 40 years. So don't try to fool others!

Mohammed was a tribal leader trying to establish his rule in the Arabian Peninsula. The so-called revealations were the concoctions to motivate his followers (with all those rewards in Paradise or cruel Punishments in hell, etc). The poor fellow could think of woman, wine, water, fruits, etc even in "Paradise" !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great!, and what did he ""earned"" in return according to you...
pupil of arab were followers of religion of Abraham even before prophet muhammad came...atleast what those pupil thought...even before prophet muhammad came those pupil would say 'Allah' meaning the only one..was the supreme god...but additionally they were worshipping more than 1000 'other' god..and in the name of those gods..they were earing money doing great business...
their opposiion to prophet muhammads teaching was primarily because of the reason that they will lose their business and lose theier so called freedom to do anything what they thought was right....
here no body is fooling anybody...there is no force..prophet muhammad lived as an oridinary citizen till the age of 40...and NEVER did he lied ...he was so trustworthy that the pupil of Mecca eventhough they disagreed with his teaching and his message...they never ever claimed that he can any time Lie....
ISLAM is invitation to truth...islam never spread by force...if it were true...today more than a billion would not have held on to their faith...today islam in these difficult time would not have been the fastest growing religion among the americans and europeans...??
it is God who has created everything which man seen and which man cannot see..who wills whome to bestow his guidance with...

Because they are the one who fail to recognise HIS at first place..and second they oppose HIS message...
GOD is the CREATOR of each and everything you see and things you cannot see...Being the Supreme CREATOR HE can bestow you with HIS mercy and the same time punish you with HIS wrath....
HE can do anything HE wishes..and there is nothat that can stop HIM...
therefore being HIS creation all we need to do is THANK HIM for his Mercy and fear HIM alone....

lotan ..God didnt create religions he just created single religion to worship one God..and he did not chnaged and corrupted his messages but the people did it for thier fancies...thats why he just corrected all of them with a error free quran

Dear Avinash, The meaning of Islam is submission to one God. Islam is not a new religion. It is the same religion what Adam followed, what Moses followed, what Jesus followed. The entire humanity is indeed from Adam and Eve, not just Muslims. Hope this answers your question. Thanks

Dear Jemima, I don't want to hear the same old cliche. Pl state very clearly whether the words "Islam" or "Muslim" appear anywhere in the Old Testament or New Testament.
