Everyone's happy!
by Nikhil Taunk on Feb 14, 2008 03:57 AM   Permalink

Every party must be rejoicing at the end of days play. For the milage each has gained, for fooling the common man again. The common man only watches TV and reads newspapers, which determine the scope for its discerning power.

The common man has no access to the phone-calls of it's elected representatives, who manipulate such developments. The impressions such incidents give to the common men is that their respective representatives are right in their actions. Whether arresting someone or for that matter courting arrest.

What a shame! While public property burns, and grave matters like farmer suicides get overshadowed, politicians and policemen unabashedly enact their righteousness, after joint-planning their moves.

The country's Home Minister goes to meet Sonia Gandhi instead of meeting the constitutional executive - our mute Prime Minister. The Home Minister also happens to be a Maharashtrian and the powerful NCP man has much say in the center and state. The NCP is in the ruling position and surprisingly partner to MNS, but not a word from Mr Pawar even after the blockbuster has finished. BJP must be very happy. Congress must be very happy. NMS proved a point.

And the Commissioner happy that its all over. It must have weigned heavily on his conscience, to arrest the very man whom he invited to his daughters wedding.

Mera Bharat Mahan.
