marathi non speakers are also mumbaikars
by soma bhattacharyya on Feb 08, 2008 03:52 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Though I cannot speak marathi (trying to learn) but understand the language when spoken or written. But I am a mumbaikar and consider myself a part and parcel of this state to the core of my heart. I travel widely throughout interiors of maharashtra and love the state and its capital. I cannot be denied the rights as described by Mr Thakarey.

very sad Indians trying to prove they are "Indians" with same passport...Do we really need independence from British or better off if they continued to rule 100yrs more after independence like they did with Hong Kong...Kong,improved it ....

You are right, all born & bought up in maharastra and also those residing here must be considered maharastrians!!! Both these uncle and nephew are from same family, hence share identical thoughts.
