Double Standards
by raghu rao on Feb 08, 2008 05:22 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

They are speaking of outsiders coming into Maharashtra. Does the country know what they have made Belgaum (Karnataka) into, it has become completely a Marathi city. They are claiming that Belgaum be brought into Maharashtra. Isn't this double-standards?

Belgaum is not in maharashtra, though it has a sizeable marathi population. So how are they outsiders? It is bordering maharashtra and karnataka so such things are bound to be there. This is not migration issue raghu rao.

You are right. Now it is time for Kannadigas to start "Marathis Hathao" from Belgaum. Then what would be the response from Raj and Bal Thakre..?

Raghu, better learn history first before writing....

How will you know whether a city belongs to a particular state ? By knowing which is the majority community staying there....How will you know who is the majority community ?

Simple but true. By going around the city and knowing the language on the signboards of the shops.

In Belgaum, the city since ages has been predominantly Marathi. It was taken away by fraud by the ancestors of India's once nose-digger-prime minister (Deve Gowda) with the help of the Mahajan commission.

Now what is Mahajan commission ? Go and read the history books....
