Islam is a religion sent down by none other than Allah All-mighty, the creator , the lord of the entire universe and whatever is in it.Islam requires mankind to accept the creator as the creator and the creations as creations and worship Allah alone.To make people understand this and live their lives in a civilized way , HE sent his messenger Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who has shown the mankind a scientific way of life covering all aspects of life and thus making the world a peaceful place.This ultimately benefits the mankind to live a good life and be in paradise forever, after death.Islam takes its followers into light of wisdom from the darkness of ignorance (includes idol worship,evil practices,superstitions,corruption,injustice etc). If u read history , u would find that Jihad is by the order of Allah on whom those who disbelieve and reject the call unto Islam(meaning , rejecting call to become just and civilised human being).So all the super powers (Rome , Persia etc)were then brought to the feet of Prophet (peace be upon him) and his companions(may be allah be pleased with them) and the world was made a better place.This is the purpose of Jihad , which is really constructive.So I invite all the non-muslim friends on board to Islam , to study about islam and I'm sure almost all of u would like it. What you are saying is Relative Truth. There is story of six blind men each touching different parts of the elephant and thus describing the animal accordingly. Each was right only as far as the part he was touching, but that was part of the absolute truth. So jains say, until you achieve 'kevalgyan' i.e. the absolute knowledge, stop such propaganda about 'absolute' truth. Live and let live. Read jain books to know what is atma, karma and men's true dharma. This is the only way to provide peace and harmony in this world.
