I think we Indians are same across the country in violating traffic rules. I am in Bangalore and driving here is real tough job. Before anyone start accusing people from North India who have moved to the city, let me clarify that violators don't have class or community. There are car drivers driving on one ways, there are BMTC and private buses to Tamil Nadu stopping in the middle of the road, there are tractors moving slowly on right side of the road, there are trucks coming from opposite direction road on a one way and we can't call cab drivers and auto drivers traffic violators because it is their birth right. A woman journalist was beaten up by a auto driver because she refused to pay extra amount over the meter charge. Police are still unable to catch the auto driver. So Mr. Khanna we are as good or rather as bad as Delhiites in violating law.

Bangalore's traffic woes is more to do with pathetic infrastructure. I am a South Indian and have lived in Delhi for 2 years. Delhi has got pretty good infrastructure hence you won't experience such rash driving. I wonder how Delhi could have coped if it had got such a narrow roads as B'lore. Ten years back there were not many oneways and driving in Bangalore was pretty easy.
